Our team is proud of Ms. Ford!

Ms. Ford came to Horizon Specialty Hospital of Las Vegas following surgical removal of all four limbs.  Upon admission, she required extensive care to address wound healing.  Ms. Ford was dependent on care staff for repositioning and transfers.

Ms. Ford’s journey towards recovery was met with various challenges; however, through unwavering determination and the exceptional care provided by the dedicated nursing and therapy team at Horizon Specialty Hospital, Ms. Ford has made a remarkable recovery. She is now able to assist with bed mobility and can sit in a custom power wheelchair that she can mobilize with her chin. This extraordinary success is contributed to the positive impact of a multiple disciplinary team work, compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to strive towards independence.
