Success Story – Nov – Mr. Kuzma
Mr. Kuzma was admitted to Horizon Specialty Hospital of Henderson for continuation of care after being transferred from an Acute Care Hospital while recovering from a stroke. He required substantial care and assist will mobility and presented with difficulty initiating movements on the right side of his body preventing participation in any functional transfers. With active participation in Physical and Occupational Therapy Mr. Kuzma has regained function on the affected right side of his body. He is now able to initiate and actively participate with all functional transfers. With continued hard work Mr. Kuzma is on track to achieve his goal of returning home.
